School: Suffolk County Community College, Long Island, NY
Nicole loved school and thrived academically, athletically and creatively. Nicole’s school career has been punctuated with being on the academic honor roll and also as an athlete on the girls track and field varsity team. She also loves acting and was introduced to Shakespearean plays at a rather young age. Nicole has earned a coach’s award, scholar athlete award, and many medals for her dedication and hard work to her team and love of the sport. She excelled in race walking and scored first place in many race walking competitions. Aside from her own pursuits and endeavors, with her high grades in academics, Nicole has also spent much time tutoring other students to help them succeed in school. She has also been an active fundraiser to benefit war veterans. With all that she has accomplished in sports and helping others, she is gravitating toward a career that will fulfill her goal to help people improve their lives.
After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Suffolk County Community College and is working toward being a physical therapist. Nicole has been on the Dean’s list since starting college and is working hard in order to continue her studies to get into a top physical therapy program. Her dream is to help individuals with disabilities so that they may experience the very things we take for granted every day. Nicole hopes to make a difference by contributing to make things better.
