Jason Smith

Jason Smith recently completed his 17th season as head coach of the Brewster Academy boys’ basketball team. The Bobcats are coming off a 2016-17 season, which saw them capture their fifth National Prep Championship, as well as their sixth NEPSAC Class AAA Championship. The program has also won seven out of the past ten NEPSAC Class AAA Regular Season Titles, plus the NEPSAC Tournament Championships in 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2010 and 2008.

Smith is looking forward to the 2017-18 season and maintaining the Bobcats spot as a top program in New England and a consistent contender for the New England Preparatory School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) Class AAA title, as well as a National Prep School Championship. Brewster has advanced to the National Final Four nine times in the last decade.

Under Smith’s direction, the Brewster Academy program has enjoyed tremendous success over the past decade. The team has qualified for sixteen consecutive NEPSAC Class AAA tournaments and have finished ranked in the top 10 nationally in each of those seasons. During the past seventeen years, his record stands at 447-109 (.804 %).

The program has averaged over 30 victories a season over the past 11 years and has seen 10 alumni reach the NBA and 50+ play professionally around the world.

Smith, a native of Boscawen, New Hampshire, lives on campus with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son Jonah.
