Clebreya Parris

Clebreya Parris, 2009

I have had the honor of being an honoree of the Trey Whitfield Foundation in 2009. The Foundation helped me kickstart my journey starting with college. I attended Ithaca College where I received a Bachelor’s in Public and Community Health with a Health Sciences concentration. After graduation, I decided to take a year off before applying to graduate school. I have always had an interest in the medical field and so during that year, I got my certification in dialysis. I currently work for Davita, Inc as a nationally certified hemodialysis technician. I enjoy my work and I have been with the company for two years now. Dialysis isn’t something to be afraid of, as the public has been led to believe. Through dialysis I have decided to pursue a career in nephrology. I now attend Fairleigh Dickinson University where I am seeking my M.D degree in the field.
